I've had Eibach 30mm springs on for over a year now. I'm really impressed with these springs. They still perform as new. With them on, you get a proper sporty feel on the road. You feel every bump but the car feels more stable and cornering is a breeze. Also, when you pull away from standstill and change gears, you don't get as much intertia, so its alot more smoother! I put 30's on mine initially for the sporty look, but I was really impressed with the performance aswell.

Roy, have u got standard shocks (ie not VW sports suspension)?
im worried that the 30mil drop will wear out the standard shocks quicker

Eibach lower 30mm is approved by VAG.. so the damage to the original shock is minimal (only i think, and that's why i installed them)

Yup, standard shocks on my 9n, just changed the springs. If anything, they perform better with the standard shocks! If you want a sporty feel, get these Eibachs, any other make will sag really quickly. Eibachs are a stiff as anything!

The ride quality is superb, like I said, you can really feel the difference in road handling. So you dont have standard shocks?
