Anyone with a 6R/C seen this on their DSG?

i had it intermittently shortly after buying the car & a software patch was applied that cured it. Fast forward five years & it's back. Only appears while actually driving & bongs the display maybe half a dozen times times shortly after starting off, together with the warning triangle. Message then clears from the display but triangle remains. All clears when switched off & restarted but starts again when driving. No faults codes logged.

There's a similar thread in the AW Forum but like Googling the symptoms in general, is inconclusive. Some suggestion that there is a TPI for this but also possibly only for the AW.

Turns out it was the switch in the selector assembly. £191 at a franchised dealer.

Had this come up in my car the other day then vanished and hasn’t shown up again .. so hoping it wouldn’t anytime soon. But good to know < £200

Yup.

It´s known issue at VW.
Some of the microswitches, er faulty.
They changed mine on warranty (the cars warranty had ran out)
But they knew about the problem here in denmark.
So they fixed it for free.
Not an issue again.
