I've got a 1lt 2018 polo with a heated rear windscreen but cannot find a switch to switch it on or off, last week the window was misted up and I could see that the heating bars were working, was it because I had the front windscreen demister switched on to clear the front windscreen?

if your vehicle is a 6C polo then the heated rear window switch is located above the infotainment screen along with the other switches for heated seat,stop/start etc
If its a AW polo im not sure of its postion some one will let you know

A picture of the interior would be helpful. If your polo is AW/2G, it's on the heating panel below the radio.

If you’ve got dual zone climate control rather than manual air con, then it’s the button circled in green on the picture below;
