Boot release pin/actuator

Having replaced a failed actuator in the boot of my Polo I now need a piece of plastic which the actuator pushes, this then pivots which pulls a metal pin that releases the boot latch. Photo should be attached.
I have no idea what this part is called or even where to get it. My local Volkswagen dealer wasn't able to assist either. They could only supply the part for the model with manual key access, my car doesn't have a manual key, it's entirely central locking. It's driving me crazy do any help would be great!
Thanks!

I could be wrong, but does that plastic link not come as part of the hatch handle? If I'm correct that would answer why your VW dealer could not supply you with a new plastic link by itself.

That's a good point. I would have thought the parts team would mention that when I was there but it's worth asking the question this time around.
Thanks

Where does the metal rod attach to higher up?

The actuator is part 33, but im trying to work out what the metal rod the plastic lever is pushing. Can you get another photo?

I see it now, its actually part of the lock cylinder housing

Its part 8 on the diagram - its £198, and has to be ordered with the chassis number so its pinned to the car. There is a £94 option also, but that'll mean a new key for your boot lock.

This is the 9N3 that I believe may be a facelift of some sort because the boot has no key - I think this model was manufactured only near the end of this version of Polo but I may be wrong. It unlocks through the central locking only. Here is a picture of the rear so you can see no lock.
The image you posted is what VW tried supplying me with but that for the key entry tailgate.
Thanks for you suggestion though :)

Ok, found it. The diagram only shows so much, as is usual with ETKA - they only show one variant where there are many closely related parts.

Its part 31 in fact - the retaining plate

6Q6827601F - £60 from VW

Or...

Buy a handle here and transfer it (the whole retaining plate) to your handle

That's absolutely spot on! Thank you so much! I've ordered the handle/retaining plate from eBay using the link you provided. I was honestly going mad trying to get this part for over 2 months so I can't thank you enough. :D :D :D
