Lowering the seats

Is there any way to lower the seats on a 2017 polo blueGT beyond the lowest setting on the adjuster. Feels like I'm sitting on a tea chest I'm so high up, and all for the sake of a daft drawer under the seat. I've searched Google and the forum for this but haven't found an answer beyond how to move the seat up and down with the lever.

I found it quite annoying coming from a 9n3 as it felt like I was sitting on the car rather than in it but I got used to it after a month. The extra height helped me with low-speed maneuvering as I could see the front of the car much better but I still find myself kneeing my hand if I go for another gear on a roundabout even with the wheel up and out as much as possible.

If you're one for some fabrication and a project the seat seems to only be raised on 4 sort of posts on each mounting point but there is a beam going across directly underneath in the floor.

Coming from a B5 Passat it felt like I was on a booster seat . Took a while to get used to it. Always felt like the mirror was in my way.
I got used to it tho and know I don't have a problem anymore. Still have to duck to look for pedestrians on the right side of the road tho

People used to comment about my driving position when I had my B5 Passat 4Motion, as in "is there anyone in the driver's seat?"!

Which was a bit strange as I felt, coming from a 1991 VX Cav GSI 4X4 (same as Opel Vectra GTE(?) 4X4), to the 2000 VW Passat 4Motion, that I felt that I was sitting "on" the B5 Passat as opposed to me sitting "in" the VX Cav 4X4, now I have a 2011 Audi S4 and I'm back to feeling like I'm sitting "in" it or wearing it, ie I feel part of it like I did when running the 1991 VX Cav GSI 4X4 - driver's seat fully down in all cars for me as I might have a "long" back!

Everything is relative I suppose, I still have to sample the "delights" of driving my daughter's 2019 SEAT Leon Cupra.

Before I had my 2016 6c Polo GTI, I had a mk6 Golf GTD. The seats in the GTD were some of the best I’d had in any car I’ve owned in terms of comfort and support; they hugged you and you definitely sat in them rather than on them. In the 6c Polo GTI, there was certainly a sensation of sitting on the seats and sitting higher up compared to mk6 Golf GTD’s seats, but as @mirceaculita has said, you do get used to it and after a while it doesn’t seem strange.

In my current car - a 2020 AW Polo GTI+ - there seems to be less of a sensation of sitting on the seats rather than in them compared to the 6c Polo, but that’s probably because I got used to that higher up seating position.

scirocco, passat cc are awesome, and easy swap. Yeah golf gti seats are good. But honestly for me bmw makes the best sporty oem seats.

When you say an easy swap, do you mean into a polo or between the two of them. Happy to switch in seats from another car if that works as I hate the Blue GT interior and want them recovered anyway!

yes fronts, cut the prongs from the rails on cc seats, drill a hole and you are golden. but front seats only.
