Polo 6C Replacement Engine ECU

I need a replacement engine ECU for a 1.2 Tsi Polo 2015. I've been offered one that comes with: ECU, Instrument Cluster, Ignition Barrel/Switch, Fuse Box, Ignition Key/Fob.
However there is no BCM. Do I need this item for plug & play?
Can the existing BCM be reprogrammed?
I've tried to get the existing ECU repaired, but no joy. I used ECU Testing and the process is very good. Their workshop is amazing too. However they don't have the software for this ECU at the moment.
