Rear screenwash leaking into passenger footwell?

Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice please! I have a 2011 1.2 Polo Moda. When I use my rear screenwash, it is leaking excessively into the front passenger footwell. I can hear the motor running but it sounds a bit weird? Like kind of scratchy... The front screenwash isn't leaking and sounds normal. I don't think it's affecting my electrics (yet at least) and no issues are lighting up on my dashboard.
Any ideas what the issue might be? I am not familiar with cars so I want at least a bit of knowledge before I take it to the garage.
