Alloy offset

Hi and thanks for accepting me in to the group..and im in the market for a 6R Gti and the first 2 things i want to do is coilovers and nice set of rims..so my main question is i like the rotiform LAS-R in a 17" with offset of 40 and websites that are selling them say thay they will fit i will probably get 215 40 17 tyres aswell but just want to make sure they will deffinitly fit before buying because they aint cheap..any help appreciated
