Does anyone have a part number for the O ring that sits inside the intercooler pipe where it adjoins to the throttle body. CZE engine if applicable please ?

By the way, any of these O-rings are meant to get replaced and never reused if that charge pipe is removed - according to the official VW workshop manual.

I replaced the O-rings at both ends of that charge pipe when I removed it to make replacing spark plugs easier, but the end that joins to the throttle body is still allowing oil to weep out slightly, that I've discovered seems to be due to rock salt from winter road treatment attacking the alloy body of the throttle body inlet flange and so causing slight corrosion across the area that the O-ring rests in.

Edit:- that was on a 2015 1.2TSI 16V so the same family as your engine, when I replace the spark plugs the next time - ie next year, I'll make sure that I scrub clean that area with a green pad, and apply a spot of clean engine oil to these next new O-ring seals, prior to refitting that charge pipe.

If you cant buy the o-ring or find it you can use o-cord o-ring and make your own. Really useful in a pinch.

Basically measure the ID where the oring sits+ thicknes of oring *π= lenght od o-cord to cut and superglue the ends. works out great.

That would probably work where the O-ring sits in a groove in a casting and it only gets compressed from for instance above, in this situation, the O-ring does sit in groove around the outer surface of the charge pipe - and then that charge pipe is pushed into the alloy housing of the throttle body - I'd expect that forcing that joined bit of O-ring material down into that housing would tear the bonding surface. These O-rings are made of a suitable material for this application and so it might not be useful to use normal "make your own O-rings" material. I have worked in an industry where some cover seals were actually fabricated using lengths of suitable sealing material that was then bonded together to form a continuous seal - but that was only ever used where the seal was located in a groove and compression was applied from one side to seal the opening.
