UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum

Hi, just purchased my first polo 6r 1.2tdi SE

It has the standard stereo 330? i think in it. I am looking to replace loads of them on amazon/ebay etc which is people choices i defo want DAB and Apple Car Play.

The next question is a little harder. bought the car and the previous owner has put i can only guess flat bottom golf GTD steering wheel on it. I have an airbag light on the dash so presume that doesnt work. the the horn only works with the cruise control up button. all other functions on the steering wheel dont work.

Can the car be coded to the steering wheel? or am i best to get a polo steering wheel and airbag to replace it? If coded in would the other buttons work with the new stereo listed above? i.e. volume/mute/horn/answer-drop calls dont get wrong if the car doesnt have cruise i dont expect cruise to work etc...

Asking for help on forums is hard for the poeple in these forums if you dont provide information.

Typically pictures and VCDS autoscans are nice to diagnose things, as a lot of parts have different versions depending on where you are from.

Please provide more info.

There is kinda only one stereo for the polo - just loads of different models and version. I am probably just gonna lump with a andriod one with most processor, ram and storage i.e. quad core 4gb/64gb andriod 10> with apple car play. As there is so many on the market i was after information as to what have people put in there's are there ones to avoid and which is popular.
As to the steering wheel - again its a golf steering wheel; as its a GTD...so i will sell that and simply get a flat bottom one from a polo 6r GTI or similar for plug and play. I was again hoping for technical advice as some people in this forum appear to have upgraded load and loads of different mods. However again due to virtually no response. its a do it on my own and share my experience of doing it so that it may help someone else.
