Nithish's Polo 6R(Ameo) 1.5TDI

Post by nithishsabapathi »

Hai All,

My daily drive is a VW Ameo, A car which is created specially to comply with a weird govt. rule wherein the cars which come under 4 meters in length will enjoy a lower tax slab.
The Ameo is essentially a shortened version Polo 6R Sedan with the wheel base of a polo 6R Hatch.
I have been amazed to see people doing crazy retrofits to their cars and I am delighted to be a part of this community.
I am new to this retrofitting world and have done some retrofits in my car:

1. Installed a MFSW Steering wheel.
2. Upgraded the Stock radio(RCD320) to a OEM Visteon RCD330 Unit and installed the OEM reverse camera.
3. A Maxidot Cluster from a Seat Toledo with SW0607 and HWH16(Installation In progress).
4. Cruise Control System.

Planned Retrofits as of now:
1. Gra-HIGH Activation(If possible)
2. 8k OPS(Parts are on their way)
3. BCM Max and associated retrofits like TPMS,etc.
and finally a DQ200 DSG/ AQ250 Torque converter in the future :D .

I Need some assistance in enabling Gra- High in my car,
my car has the following ECU:
Continental 03L 907 425B Diesel SIMOS PCR21.
A Seat Toledo Cluster with SW 0607.
Can the Gra-High be activated on the above ECU and the Cluster combination or do i need any emulator to do this?
Any assistance would be helpful.

Regarding GRA high--

Your Simos PCR 2.1 ECU can be read by using tools like Kessv2, FGtech gelatto easily I guess. I am pretty sure there are tools to read and write your ECU without dismantling it. The biggest hurdle is to know if your ECU firmware supports GRA High, if yes then next hurdle is to know the exact address to activate it.

You must find a car having same ecu/engine having GRA preactivated from factory to begin with. You also request for help from Master Ciclo, Slavik, firegrafik... they have done extensive research and work on GRA activation. I think it's a tough job, but you can always give a try.πŸ‘

I can say with absolute certainty that it is indeed possible to activate GRA High in your Simos PCR2.1 ECU without need of any kind of emulator.

Ofcourse with the help of right tools and right people.

Hai Patil,
Thanks for the reply!
Yes, I have Installed the Toledo cluster in my Ameo.
Apparently VW has blocked the Installation of USED clusters, so did some workarounds and installed the cluster sucessfully.

That's Amazing patil, As of now I only have VCDS with me and Aliexpress being banned in our country I've been looking for someone who can read my ECU.

Yes, I have Installed the Toledo cluster in my Ameo.

Congratulations. I will tell you a secret which only you know... I know exactly who programmed that toledo cluster in your Ameo😁

You may be wondering how I know.. apparently we live in a same small world

Now go back to him again, your ECU needs to be unlocked before can be read. He will do it on bench and read your ECU file, I've already put a word to him.

Once you get the ECU file, it needs to be edited to enable GRA High and edited file needs to be reflashed again. Honestly I don't know how to do it, I never did on my Polo, Master ciclo did it for me. I think your best bet is Master ciclo.. request him in a humble way he might help you.

Good luckπŸ‘

I was about to ask you this when I saw the pictures of your cluster in his bench and apparently he told me that you had visited him. :D Actually we were about to take the dump but it was too late and I left in a hurry😬. I'll be visiting him by this weekend and will take the dump.

Will ask Master Ciclo if he can help me..

Thanks!

Guys,
I'm getting an oil lamp error in my cluster, Upon scanning with VCDS, its the error for the Oil level thermal sensor signal High time > maximum.
I have attached the autoscan of my instrument cluster below. Is there any way to solve it or will have to live with it?
I have no other error codes elsewhere. also attaching the images of the error.

Go to adaptation channels of address 17, in drop down menu search for TOG in the list, click it and then select oil level sensor not connected to cluster, and select do it.

nice mini sedan , very interesting variation of polo.

if you want to retrofit direct tpms you will need to update your instruments to 07xx or later.
you can use 0729 firmware from amarok 2h0.
just dit it on my toledo, I have an issue with my mfsw but it is SEAT related, otherwise it is ok

Also I have almost the same ecu , I am interested in GRA-High too
