What is the difference between a torx screwdriver and a spline one? And which one should I get to take the interior out of the Polo? I mean like the door panel bits, etc. :?:

I'd suggest you get a couple of Torx screwdrivers, in different sizes, to be prepared. In addition, find some Philips head screwdrivers or bits as well.

The Polo's interior is held in place with the above type screws...

Well got some from Homebase today. I was just wondering 'cos I remember reading through those PDF's on this section and it mentioned about "spline" screwdrivers.

I've got T10, T15, T20 and T25.

Splines are different to torx, so don't use torx sockets to undo spline bolts (I've done it before and it stopped my interior coming out)

A good spline set costs £15 with a lifetime warranty. Mine was a 42 piece set.

I got mine from my local dealer, who happens to supply Sealey tools.

talking about these DIY tools, i was wondering what tool is needed to take off the front and rear lower (black parts) bumpers of the polo 9n? its not a philips head and it looks like a small "star". :?
