Airbag light after installing new seats

I’ve just recently installed two new front seats in my car the old seats had airbag wiring in them my new seats don’t.while installing my new seats I’ve had to disconnect the airbag wiring I’ve installed the seats now I’m just wondering if anyone knows if tricking the car to think there’s an airbag plugged in with a resistor works or not. Also this is my first post and I’m a little new to working on cars I know enough mechanically just can’t wrap my head around the electrical side yet.
