disable, front assist and lane change?

So these systems work on my golf eight, I do get annoyed sometimes and disable them, they reset to on when I use the car again. Will my polo gti work the same way?

I have front assist set to minimum distance and (touchwood) it doesn’t go off unless someone cuts me up. It stays that way even when I leave the car for a while. I wouldn’t switch it off completely as I read an article a while back that disabling it then having an accident can invalidate your insurance.

Lane assist always comes back on the minute you get in the car. First thing I do is switch it off. It’s dangerous in the wet as it doesn’t find the white lines.
