hey all,
my car started overheating the other day, had to tow it tho the garage.
the guy tells me water pump is dead, replacemnt will be 1/4 of my salary
decided to do it by my own, only problem i cant find any guides on how to do it.
i know the basics only cant figure how to get to some bolts and screwes.
can anybody help me find a guide?
its a 1999 polo 1.6l manual

Do a youtube search. I suppose somebody has posted a vid for this particular car. Visual reference can be the key element in this.
I must say, if you understand how an engine works it should be pretty much the same as any other car. A 16v is a bit more work than a 8v tho. To get to the bolts, you need a good jack to lift and drop the engine as needed.
