Why cannot the above be carried out re instructions, below.
I can reset the oil service but only by holding down BOTH the button (time) next to the 0.0 button and the 0.0 button with ignition off then switch on ignition and reset oil service interval comes up, release both buttons then just press the 0.0 button and the oil service interval resets, I cannot get inspection interval up, it just keeps bringing up the oil service interval reset (with both buttons pressed).
I reset it subsequently with my VCDS but is there something else that I should have done, I have a anologue instrument clusture.

I think you should be able to see how many days and miles are left to next service and inspection. If that's all correct, you've done it correctly.
