Hi guys,
I bought my first Polo recently and I’m enjoying it except something doesn’t seem right in lower gears. A few things I’ve noticed;
- when moving off in 1st gently tapping the accelerator, it seems to want to rev quite a bit before engaging, and can feel quite jerky, not really high revs but still uncomfortable.
- it doesn’t pull forward automatically unless using the accelerator (maybe that’s normal in newer models?)
- Hill-hold doesn’t seem to work great at all. A gentle tap of the accelerator and it will start rolling back until it finally engages.
All in all I’m enjoying the car, and above 2nd gear there doesn’t seem to be any problems at all. Switching in higher gears seems fine. But at lower gears and holding hills in traffic my Skoda Fabia 04 is much smoother and comfortable. I have a 3 month warranty from the dealer.
Thanks in advance.
