Haha, yes my kids provide a Turkish bath/kickboxing type of massage function to my car seats - ouch! I'm glad you liken the look of the covers. As an alternative, you could treat the seat fabric with a Scotchguard type product to protect them and make them easier to clean (see links below). It’d also be quite a bit cheaper than buying seat covers. Retreatment maybe required after a year or so, but it’d still be cheaper than buying seat covers, and you’d get the full benefit of your seats rather than keeping them covered up for the benefit of the next owner.

. I'm thinking about protecting the boot, now too. They do ones that fully cover the inside of the boot. Definitely need to protect the bumper tailgate area too!
