207 Bhp GTI Remap
207 Bhp GTI Remap
Hi all, I'm intending to remap my 207 Bhp car but have only found Quantum offering it. Does anyone know of anyone else?

Re: 207 Bhp GTI Remap
See discussion thread at the link below - pre-facelift rather than the facelift model; maybe only limited re-map options available at the moment for the facelift car (increased ps / bhp and different DSG transmission compared to the pre-facelift car).

I’ve personally no experience of remapping. However, many owners wait until their car’s factory warranty has expired before remapping because of the warranty implications. For me personally, invalidating my car’s warranty by getting a remap is a risk I wouldn’t take. I know some re-mappers will provide their own warranty, but I doubt it would provide the same level of cover as a car manufacturer’s new car factory warranty. Things can (and do) go wrong and I wouldn’t want to be faced with a potentially very large bill, but then I’m very risk-averse .

Re: 207 Bhp GTI Remap
Thanks, SRGTD! The pre facelift remaps will not work as the ECU are now the same type used in the new Golfs, and the turbos have changed too (I was told by my Vudu remapper). I understand and accept the warranty and motor insurance implications and am happy to go ahead with the associated costs. If anyone does know of any firms who have developed the Map for the 207 Polo, I'd be really appreciative to find out. I'd also have the DSG mapped, too

Wait until the warranty is up.
Get some breathing mods and maybe some form of exhaust system.
Then get a stage 1 ecu and dsg map.
Leave it as that, anything more and you’ll be wheel spinning forever.
Dont go to a flash map place. If you are in the UK, got to MRC or Devil Developments, somewhere that will dyno the car as part of the map.
My advise from a stage 2 revo tuned owner.

Re: 207 Bhp GTI Remap
would you advise remap a 1.6 msi polo aw 2024 version?
Re: 207 Bhp GTI Remap
In addition to the guarantee, you must also calculate the problems you may have in the event of an inspection by the police or in the event of an accident as the insurance could pose objections. As far as I know, in the new model I have seen that with the additional control units they can obtain around 253 horsepower and 420Nm of torque so I imagine that with a mapping you can do better even if I don't know if the control unit has been unlocked or replaced control unit and now it is possible to do so. To obtain these numbers on the model before the restyling you also had to mount the exhaust and the filter which corresponded to a stage 1+.

Personally I don't know Quantum, but I would always stick with a reputable tuner for VW myself.
AFAIK the 207 bhp engine cannot be flashed yet, the ECU has not been cracked. I could be wrong / this could be outdated info.
If anybody knows what's possible, please chip in.

Any new update on if the ECU for the facelift model has been cracked. I have contacted a few tuners but still locked.

Sadly no crack yet. Went to a local reputable tuning company in my area (Hybrid Tunes) and they have checked everywhere for me and told me to check back every 3-6 months. He said from past vw cars expect it to be late 2024 to mid 2025

Went and brought a tdi tuning box makes alot of difference power use to die off around 4500 rpm now power all the way through the revs also fitted a ram air box filter more noise and faster acceleration good combow until a ecu map comes out
