Upshift when speeding at 5000rpm (1.2 | 180tsi)

after several of research. Some people say, when you are speeding with the 1.2 ,180 tsi polo it is better when upshiftig in 5000rpm because it maintains the 175nm of torque, rather than waiting for the redline.
My question :
So it is faster ? When upshifting at 5000 rpm ? Can you reach top speed faster ?

Probably.
1.2tsi runs out of steam up top. Relatively tiny turbo. You want to shift at a point where the revs drop to just above the theoretical torque peak. This all depends on gearing, etc. Maybe in 2nd shift at 5000, maybe in 3rd higher or lower. All depends.
Only way to find out is try it and time it.
