Tyre Noise OR road noise

I have a 2020 Polo Match.
The one thing I dislike is the road noise transmitted through to the cabin. In the south west, the road surfaces are rough. I have tried various brands/types of supposed 'quiet' tyres - but no appreciable differences.
Has anyone tried various sound deadening efforts with a measure of success?

Not sure if I am able to assist but my experience is that the Michel PS 4 is much quiter than the Bridgestone's the car came with from factory. That said it may help to check out this YouTibe video on the topic:

Hi there
thank you so much for your response - will now look at the sites you suggest.
Currently have continentals fitted - these absolutely roar.
I look back many years to when the Michelin X was available (very quiet but known for weak sidewalls)
Has any reader explored sound proofing kits/materials?

I’ve no personal experience of it but I’ve seen reference to Dynamat on some other forums as a very effective sound proofing material in cars.

There are alternatives available; again, I’ve no personal experience of any of these products so can’t vouch for how effective they are;

The boot area and doors are probably the two main areas where soundproofing will result in a reduction in unwanted noise transmission into the car’s cabin, so applying some soundproofing matting to the boot floor, in the spare wheel well and behind the door cars or inside the door cavities should produce a noticeable improvement. When removing the door cards it’s likely that some of the retaining clips will break so be prepared to buy some replacements. Also, there’s a risk of unwanted creaks and rattles when interior trim panels are removed and refitted.
If you do go ahead with soundproofing your car, please update this discussion thread on;
a) how easy / difficult it was to do
and
b) the degree of improvement/ reduction in cabin noise levels.
