Subframe / Pendulum / Locator Pins - Right Pickle!

Hi all,
This is my first post and I've got myself into a right pickle.........
So, the background - I bought my daughter a 2015 1.2 Tsi as a first car from Copart, knowing full well that the engine was broken.
In removing the engine, I snapped the bolt holding the pendulum support to the subframe. Yesterday, I removed the subframe and was not able to remove said bolt with an extractor. In fact, I have now destroyed the captive bolt on top of the subframe in my frustration! So I have a number of questions maybe someone can help with:
1) Should I buy a new subframe off eBay OR
a) grind the old nut off and replace it with a 'free' non captive nut (not sure there is room to access under the steering)?
b) weld a new captive nut in the same location as the broken nut (I am concerned that the location is very sensitive and if I weld the nut in place and it is not aligned, I will have more issues)?
2) Locator pins for the subframe - I have found T10096 pins online, but the manual also suggests T10486 A. I cannot find these pins anywhere. I have seen T10486 1, but are these the same? Can I use them? Does anyone have any advice?
Any guidance would be much appreciated!
Thanks

If you can drill the extractor out, you can use a drill size just a bit shy of bolt diameter. Drill the hole, and use a puch, to punch the rest of the bolt away from the threads.

More than just a bit tricky drilling a snapped off extractor out as it will be as hard as "nails", that might be possible in a machine shop if everything can be jigged up, but for a DIYer, I'd not think very possible unfortunately.
Edit:- as for the subframe locator pins, I'm not convinced that you will get a "spot on" position using them, a full 4 wheel realignment would need to be carried out as soon as you had the car back together, to achieve a good alignment that did give good handling and good even wear on the tyres.

Thanks guys, I tried drilling the extractor out and its messed the complete nut up. The drill wouldn't bite into the hard extractor........any other ideas?
Cheers

I'd reckon you would need to price up getting a local machine shop sorting that subframe out by getting that extractor out somehow and fit a threaded insert - once you have given them the thread size and pitch - against buying a used subframe with an unknown history that is exactly the correct version for that age and version of Polo, that might or might not be easy.
I'll try to look up some details later like the bolt thread size and pitch and the options for a subframe part number.
I'm not having a very good day either, time to find out why my Henry garage wet/dry hoover made a "funny" noise and probably blew its fuse!

Okay, the subframe is officially called Assembly Carrier and there seems to be two options:- 6C0 199 315A for use with PR 0FB and 7ZL
6C0 199 315G for use with PR OFV, 7ZL and 71Y.
So you would need to see what these PR codes mean in reality, it seems strange that PR : 7ZL is quoted against both, but when you look into it it might make more sense.
The dogleg mounting bolt that bolts into the subframe is part number N909 830 02 and is M10 X 61mm but the description does not include the thread pitch, though maybe as it is bolting into a steel captive nut as opposed to into an alloy casting, it will be obvious to you.
Edit:- Skoda Fabia 2016 and probably 2017 and maybe more with both versions of the 1.2TSI 16V use 6C0 199 315A with no comments/limitations wrt PR codes, also same for same age SEAT Ibiza. Audi A1 does not seem to use the same subframe.

Just take a few measurments,
cut off the old nut, place new, place the doge bone in subframe place the bolt tighten measure tack it. If you miss 1mm its okay, the engine mount is slotted.
You can re install the subframe without the aligment tool it will be ok. Worse case scenario, they re align it.
And if you mess everything up, buy an used subframe...
i think its worth giving a shot

I've used a VW Group website to decode these PR codes:-
0FV FAD South Africa manufacturing sequence
0FB FAD Pamplona manufacturing sequence
71Y LKA Charging cable HH type I (CN) 16 A Porsche E2
7ZL AED Vehicle class differentiation 6C0- for build status Europe
I'd guess that your Polo is a South African built one, I can't see what the significance of "71Y" is on a 6C Polo though!
