Wishbone life span, clunking?

I just bought an '18 1.0, with 16k miles, traded in a '13 1.4 6r with 55k miles for it.

Didn't notice on the test drive, but I can hear a clunking noise which sounds like the drivers side wishbone. I dropped the undertray to have a look of the bushes and couldn't tell any difference between the left and right. I did notice that both bolts on both withbones had signs for being tightened, whereas the rest of the bolts underneath the car look brand new. So wondering if the dealer checks these bolts at each service or something.

Is there a known issue with the AW wishbones not lasting long. Just to put it in context, this car has the comfort suspension with the 185/65r15 tyres, so no excessive loads on the suspension components

if the wishbones have been loose, perhaps so have other parts been. like the fuse ball joint, drop links, strut bolts, etc. did you check these as well?

I had lower wishbones replaced on an 2006 9N3 and all was good for a month and then they clonked.

took it back and they tightened it all up again.. nothing after that.

Now with this 2019 Polo (22,200 miles) it get the odd clonk (just the one) when reversing off a cambered road. I recognise that sound from before.

have you got any odd tyre wear at the front?
