long shot.. anyone here got VCDS and OBDEleven

I am hoping to set up some resource for other OBDEleven owners as some of the data is presented differently and makes it difficult to compare when either scanner data is posted.

Would just like to get some base data to work from.

Thanks

I have only got VCDS, I would assume that others would only have either one or the other, I can submit the standard scan from when my car had its factory setting but I would also assume the OBD eleven scan would be needed also to compare the base values. From what I’ve read about VCDS seems good value for money and can read every type of code you’d need on a VW, so rather than buying OBD eleven as well it could be just as useful having only the VCDS software.

I thanks for replying.

understand your reasoning totally and agree.. though some buy a product and then decide to buy something potentially better; for them. I now have two scanners ( :) ) for that reason. The OBDEleven Nextgen basic plan was only £44 with options for the other Plans if I needed them.

Ironically the basic Thinkcar 100 is useful in that it gives some engine data quickly but is engine only and doesn't give the GPF data I wanted to find out this past month or so.

Or

Maybe someone has VCDS and access to OBDEleven.

My reason for the thread is just to get some data on the forum that might be useful to other owners. In my case GPF data presented as a percentage (from the OBDEleven device) does not mean much when VCDS owners give specific particulate figures in grammes. i.e how many grammes of soot is considered low or full or just needing attention and the correlation to percentage figures is linear?

perhaps this is asking too much? I guess most of us a just hardworking people with a Polo. :) I just can't get this information even on the net or other forums, and I have asked. Some OBDEleven users have been very helpful on this forum, and I'm grateful.

:)
