Powering cluster on the bench

Hello,

I want to power up a cluster on the bench and have it's lights turn on. Also maybe some warning lights as well. Can it be done? Also can I somehow make the speedometer move?
If anyone has the wiring diagram for the cluster it would be highly appreciated as well.

you could use arduino and some kind of canbus module like mcp2151 to send canbus packet/ message for speed thru can hi lo lines into the cluster

you'll probably need the power lines (one permanent, one ignition), a GND wire.
for the lights, you'll need either the correct canbus message, i.e. for ABS, power steering, engine, or a wire like brake pad indicator, coolant shortage, oil pressure, washer fluid shortage

What about the backlight? I don't know if the standard gauges have the light sensor on them. Also if I activated the staging via eeprom I assume the needles would move when ignition on?

IIRC I can program the eeprom in the cluster so that the backlight turns on with ignition on?
