Mirror Knob

Hi,
The knob does not move the mirrors and was like that since I bought it, the knob does seem a bit loose and not much resistance.
Does it need a new knob perhaps?, is it a common failure.
Thanks

Some people do seem to be able to break them, so it probably needs replacing with a new one.

I've never had to work that out, maybe it can be eased up-out of the door panel using plastic trim tools.
Even when new, they feel horrible, as far as the rotating of the knob is concerned, the up-down side-side should feel okay though.
Why I'm saying this is, maybe if the "steering" of the knob still feels okay, and it is just the rotating that feels horrible and slack, then maybe there is a fuse blown that covers this function.

thanks, yes could be a fuse. Strangely the mirrors do fold themselves ok.
Any idea where I can get a fuse location/chart pls.

There is a “sticky” at the top of the list of posts covering fuse locations.

No, you don't have to do that. Just the cover of the door grab handle.
