Hi, so my car won't start unless I jump start it and I've charged my battery but still no luck. Now I assume the battery is gone and want to know any recommendations on which battery is the best to buy.
Thanks

One easy option, I think, is to order a new Bosch EFB from Tayna, it should arrive tomorrow maybe!

Make sure that you know the engine version and what is written on your present battery - maybe it does not need to be EFB especially if you don't have Stop/Start.
So in that situation, just a normal battery, but again maybe Bosch or Varta depending on which is cheaper.

Yep, just look after the right amperage and capacity. If your car has a start/stop system, it's necessary to adapt the battery in the computers.

sorry for the no reply, I managed to get a relative who had a tester to test the battery health and to make sure the alternator was all good. We ended up going to get a new battery that evening and fitted it too and now the car works a treat again.
thanks for the replies guys appreciate it.

Good stuff, I once felt the need to buy myself a battery health tester, I've used it many times, a "good to have" bit of kit for a home mechanic - DIYer, but not something that most people need to buy.
Edit:- I keep trying to get my older daughter to change the battery in her SEAT Cupra, but I reckon that it will need a "no start" situation before that happens!
