Electronics always on

Hi, I recently bought a 2000 model 6n2, and I have a problem with the electronics. I do not have to much experience with working on cars, but I really enjoy fixing things myself snd hope I can turn this car into a fully functional daily driver again.
So, on to the problem; Whenever the battery is connected, all electronics are constantly on. The ignition stays off, but things like lights and wipers are on.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Edit: I might aswell mention it in this post. Sometimes when I turn the key over to start the car, the starter doesn't engage. It might take a couple of tries before it starts, so it's not too much of an issue. Thought it was best to mention it in case it can relate to the electric problem.

The first thing that comes to mind is that someone has fiddled with the ignition switch. Maybe there was a problem and was bypassed this way. Have you checked the ignition switch?
