Motorway miles.
Would be very different if that was all stop-and-go city miles.
But, take care of any engine and it will last.

yeah and if you cavity wax the chassis, rocker sills fender arches or the rust will eat it from inside in. From factory very thin film layer 
Even Mazda puts way more in.
We have a lots of 1.2 tdi engines that are near that mileage, and there are a lots of hills and stop and go. Just regular maintenance. + replace worn out parts on time

did they make much changes to the 1.2tdi engine during the 6r/6c era.

the 1.2 tdi is a lovely engine but damn I wish it had a bit more hp. Even 90hp would be amazing
