Anyone able to tell me if this is a 6R or 6C based on the pics? Car is advertised as 150PS but I'm convinced it's 6R which are only 140PS right? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The most notable differences are inside (if the BlueGT has the original factory equipment).
- The instrument cluster is different.
- The radio/navigation system is different.
- The steering wheel is different.
- The air conditioning/climate unit is different.
among others...

The taillights are also different, but going from the 6R taillights to the 6C is a very common and highly recommended modification.

Maybe, but we need the pics first

What year is the car? The 6R Polo was facelifted to the 6C towards the end of 2014 so if the car in question is 2015 or later, then it should be a 6C. As @Maarten has said, pictures would be useful, otherwise we’re just speculating / guessing whether the car’s a 6R or 6C.

In addition to the differences listed by @ciclo between the 6R and 6C, another visible difference in the cabin is the panel of switches above the infotainment unit; the 6R has seven switches (or provision for 7) whereas the C6 has nine. You can see this in the pictures posted by @ciclo above.

Just wanted to mention that my wife’s late (Nov 66) 6C Blue GT 150 has a factory-fit steering wheel similar to that in Ciclo’s first photograph, so don’t expect the steering wheel shown in the second photo to be present in all Blue GT 6Cs. Maybe it’s different in non-UK markets?

The image of the 6C posted in my previous post belongs to the 6C BlueGT preseries, that is, the first '6C' BlueGT that were manufactured.

Later 'all' the 6C BlueGT left the factory with this steering wheel model:

All 6C Polos will have 6R on the chassis plate as the 6C is built on the same chassis as the original 6R pre-facelift car. The V5 registration document will also show a 6C as a 6R (the V5 for my 2016 6C Polo GTI did). What distinguishes a 6C BlueGT from an earlier 6R BlueGT are the features outlined in earlier posts in this discussion thread (there may also be other differences in addition to those listed).

The V5 registration document should also show the engine power output, which would be another way to help identify if the BlueGT that the original poster @seanbarro was interested in is a 6C or 6R (assuming the 10ps power upgrade from 140ps to 150ps coincided with launch of the 6C facelift model) - @seanbarro; might be worth contacting the seller and asking them what’s shown on the V5 as the engine power output.
