polo car stereo Codes

Hi guys nice to join you I have a 2015 volkswagen polo POLO SE TSI and the stereo has stopped working,
I have found a used one that fits my polo with 6 months warranty but I'm not sure if it needs coding to the car or how to do it once fitted,

I have seen the ebay sellers who say if I give them the VWZ unit serial number they can give me a code for it,

do these codes work as it says it does not come with a code?

have added a photo of my dash and the one for sale on ebay if this helps though not sure if they have uploaded as they are not showing in my post

any help or advice would be great please...Thanks
