Hi Folks,
I have just bought a 2020 GTI and I am searching for the coding to enable audible confirmation of door locking.
Searching using VCDS but cannot find where the option is hiding. Anyone help?
Even better if someone knows how to enable feature in the MFD, example here, but they missed the how to bit…!

Seem to remember reading on some forums that in the UK, audible locking / unlocking confirmation is illegal - only visual confirmation is permitted. That might possibly be why you’re unable to find the coding.

I realise this, it might not be legal, but I have always enabled this on my VAG cars for the last 20 years. It’s handy feature to have enabled, saves you rubbernecking to check you have locked the car.
Definitely can be enabled, just need to find the right path using VCDS to enable this feature. Managed no problem in my previous 6C Polo.

Dauer should be set to short.
All should be set to active {akustische ruckmeldung)
Menuesteuering active.

Possible need to reset the radio to factory settings
GTI 2020 should display a box to check under open and close menu

Akustische ruckmeldung = audible comfirmation
Dauer = lenght
Menuesteuering = check box in radio menu
Entriegeln = opening
Verriegeln = closing

There is an OCA (One Click App) on my OBDEleven option for this so it can definitely be done..

Maarten, thank you for taking the time to clearly explain.
Everything working . Even managed to leave open/Entriegeln switched off as I just wanted the close option enabled. Having the ability to control through the MFD means I can disable when parking late at night.
Really appreciate your help. I am sure others reading this will too.

For future reverence, the checkbox only appears in the pre FL models of the AW.
From modelyear 2022 (new front and tail) there is no longer a check box under open & close in the radio module, so for them it is either on or off via VCDS/OBD11

That’s surprising, it was a standard feature on my Megane.

Also illegal in Germany.
Fortunately not illegal in the Netherlands
