Drivers seat change

Will a drivers seat from a 2015 6c fit into a 2017 6r, are the airbag connections the same.

If the 2017 car is also a 6C with the steering wheel on the same side, then yes.

The steering wheel for the 2017 is on the same side but its V5 log book says 6r, could it also be a 6c ?

Yes, a 2017 Polo will be a 6C.
The 6C facelift Polo was built on the same chassis as the original 6R pre-facelift car, hence why the V5 registration document shows it as a 6R. My previous car was a 6C Polo GTI and the V5 also showed the car as a 6R).
