So, interesting problem. My other half requested carplay. To get the lay of the land, I unplugged the MIB brain in the glovebox and plugged the guy back in, because I am a fool! The screen is now blank.
Things I’ve tried:
Push the volume/power for 60 seconds
Pulled out a fuse (fuse number 50) for 30 seconds
Had a garage check out the fuses to see everything was okay.
Might be an anti-theft blank screen thing? Which would mean entering a code (which is what happened on my previous car, no problem) buuuuuuut - there’s nothing on the screen, so how do I get the prompt to enter the code? What do you think? Could give a go at unplugging the battery, but worried I would resemble Wile E Coyote afterwards, also don’t want to cook any of the car’s electrics….

Re: MIB - Men in Blank Screen
Good call, fingers crossed! I put everything back very carefully and the garage checked the connection too. But, that said they did say that they were not electrical specialists. If I yanked it too hard, maybe I could have severed a vital cable?

generally, the quadlock and display cables are pretty well seated. but it's not hard to put the quadlock back badly.

Thank you fingers crossed I haven’t bricked it by accident!
