DRIVER'S SIDE WING MIRROR AND WINDOW CONTROLS NOT WORKING

Hello,

Was wondering if anyone can help with an issue i encountered with my 2017 VW Polo, 1.2 TSI, Manual.

I noticed this morning that the driver's side 'side mirror' did not open up when i started the car, although the passenger side opened up no problem. It remained in the folded position and i had to manually push it out.
On top of this, the controls on the driver side for all the windows in the car has also stopped working. Can confirm that the window switch on the other doors work fine.

Has anyone encountered this before? And are these two issues related? Quite a weird one as i drove my car last night and it had no issues. Other controls on the drivers side seems to work like locking the doors and the knob for adjusting the side mirrors.

Thanks!

HELLO🎙🔊📢,

It is related, check fuse SC5 (6C RHD).

---

On the other hand, if the problem is not the fuse it could be due to:

- Open or close the door abruptly.
- Low battery voltage.
- Low battery voltage at the precise moment of opening/closing the vehicle due to weather conditions.
- Inadequate data processing between units (WRM J386 <-> BCM).
- Electronic components of the WRM J386 or mirror motor in poor condition (with rust/moisture).
- Use of inappropriate/outdated diagnostic tools when making a diagnosis.
among others...

Possible solutions:
- Close and reopen the vehicle with the central locking/remote control.
- A fault clearing with an appropriate diagnostic tool, even if there are no faults diagnosed due to this malfunction.
- Disconnect and reconnect the battery.
- New battery or similar.
- etc...
