Apple Music Streaming Issues via CarPlay

My 2023 GTI has a Ready 2 Discover (VW MIB3) system found in cars manufactured after 2021, with the exception of the Golf Mk 8.
The issue is with Apple Music - when using it via wireless CarPlay, it sometimes buffers songs for five minutes, stops playing songs in the middle or just can't find any playlists (Siri says "There was a problem with Apple Music").
The problem is not because of the phone or the network, as all other streaming apps (Spotify, BBC Sounds and Apple Podcasts) work flawlessly.
Apparently there is an issue with the eSIM inside the head unit and with VW's WeConnect app and the only way is to turn WeConnect off. Which defeats the purpose, as it tells me where the car is on the map, among other things. Does anyone have a solution for this?
