Polo 2012 Auto-radio swap

Post by polov_meutropa »

Good afternoon everybody!
I drive a VW Polo 2012 1.2 TDI.
The original radio in my car is an original RCD210 radio (quad lock and aerial connectors).
I wanted to change the radio so I could have one with a display and Bluetooth, satellite navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, basic features.

What radio model do you recommend?
Where can I purchase a radio with these features?
How can I know that the radio i'm purchasing is compatible?

Thank you all!

I recommend the RCD360 Pro from AliExpress. I bought one for my Polo 2 weeks ago and it's great, CarPlay, Android Auto , Bluetooth etc.
If your car doesn't have a backup camera, make sure to ask the seller to ship the radio with the backup camera disabled otherwise the screen will go black each time you put the car into reverse.

I bought an RCD330 for my 2014 6R, which worked fine with the Canbus adaptor however for some reason it still has the power drain issue even though everything syncs up and the radio "turns off"

Ive tried asking everywhere for a solution but never got a response XD

Get an multimeter and read the voltages off connnections.

Your issue is most likely with the ACC connection.
