Engine wont Rev past 2000 RPM

Hi All , Newbie here
I have a VW Polo 1.2 2009 .
When I start up the engine it will rev as normal past 2000 RPM no problem so long as I keep the revs High
If I drop the revs to tick over or at least lower than 2000 the car seems to go into some sort of Limp Mode and wont go past 2000RPM
Just changed the Crank Position Sensor as that was easiest and no change.
Only other thing I can think of is the Engine Mounts are shot and engine does wobble lots.

Engine shakes a lot.
Did you do a scan?
Sounds like 1 cilinder is not performing well

It does seem like the revs are a bit uneven and possible misfiring, could be as simple as a spark plug , what do you think ?

Did you check the plugs?
When were they changed last time?

just changed the plugs today , they certainly needed changing but the problem is still there

Those have a lot of oil on them.
That's not normal
