2020 Polo Beats Bonnet Decal Peeling Off

I have a roughly 7 inch strip of film peeling off my bonnet strip/decal on my 2020 Polo Evo Beats (pic attached). Is this just normal paint protection film that I can replace myself? I would like to sort it ASAP before the decal gets damaged so VW don't try to charge for a completely new decal.

pure guess but it looks like the protective film, before application, had not been removed at the factory..

is the underlying black strip secure?

The underlying strip is secure and in good condition and so are all the other decals. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't about to peel off a protective layer.
