Just purchased a 2013 1.2 Polo Match. I want to upgrade the head unit to a Car Play (non VW) like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354172367407

Can I simply swap the head units out or is any re-coding required?

TY

Can anyone help? I'm struggling to work out which head unit I need? RCD330 or RCD340 or RCD360 Pro etc. I have VW parking sensors / park assist and still want the audible alarm and car image come up on the screen. Does anybody know if the Park Assist will work with something like this?

Yes it would.
You have a few versions, you can google for Desay and similar to read about the differences.
There is even a forum dedicated to 330
