How to install original chrome exhaust tips (BlueGT)

Post by Volkswagen »

Hi,

I ordered the original VW chrome exhaust tips (6R0253825), but when installing, I don't get how to install them properly.

I tried to install them on my BlueGT 2017 so that the "visor" is on top, but the "top clips" inside the tip are reaching the end of the clip while the "bottom clips" inside the tip are not reaching the end of the clip.

So, seems like they are not "evenly fitting".

I hope you understand what I mean from the photo.

Thanks in advance!

I used Skoda Yeti ones and broke 2 of the clips off (opposite ones). Even then they were still very tight to fit and took quite a while!

Should the clips stay at the end of the inner exhaust pipe edge when installed properly?

Because my issue is understanding how to install them properly.

They should be further in, so you don't see them
