Hi ,
I have recently bought a 2011 polo. Everything fine for 3months.
However today I could not get the gear stick to go into reverse.
Forward gears work well, just reverse. It seems engaged but as soon as the clutch is depressed then just grinding but no engagement.
Any ideas anyone?
Clutch is quite high on the pedal. 97,000 miles. If it was clutch then why are forward gears ok?

These gearboxes have issues with reverse gear and bearings.

But start with adjusting the gear cable endinks.

Suggest adjusting gear linkage cables before going deep.
