Hi Everyone,
I have just joined the VW Forum.....so be gentle with me.
I have a.... VW Polo 60S 1.2 Petrol 5 Door Hatchback Manual Gearbox 2007 model.....
From the heading of this forum I am assuming that my vehicle is a :- MK7 (9N3) Polo -2006-2008 model ???
So when I start posting on here, how should I identify my vehicle "correctly" to you guys without causing any confusions with such a long title !!!
So basically in the motoring trade how (the correct name /title of my vehicle) is my car identified officially
I think this would be my very first enquiry /question on this forum
The reason for this is because the details and description of my vehicle come up as....
"VW POLO 60S 1198cc PETROL 5 DOOR HATCHBACK MANUAL GEARBOX 2007//VW-POLO-2007-PETROL HATCH-1.2-FWD--9N_9A_-1198cc 44KW 60HP BBM"[/b]
Whereas the title on the Forum is showing it as .... MK7 (9N3) Polo -2006-2008 model ???....??? yet different again !
Once this is answered I will move onto any further questions I have, so as that I post all my questions in the appropriate sections of the VW Forum etc
Thanks
SoL

Welcome SoL

The 2007 model is indeed the 9N3

The forum should say years 2005 - 2008 (9N3 introduction date 12.05.2005)
But because of modelchanges 9N (2002-2005) and 6R (03.2009-04.2014) they choose 2006-2008 (so 2005-2006-2007-2008-2009 partly)

Hi Maarten
Thanks for your rereply , which was helpful... (what does the MK7 represent in regards to my car ???)
......So when I quote or introduce my vehicle on the forum perhaps it should be as:-
VW Polo (9N3} Petrol, Manual Gearbox, 5 door Hatchback, 2007
PS.....strange but I do not see a like button to compliment posts and comments on this forum ?
anyway thanks again, you will be hearing from me shortly regarding my next question which will be on complete Clutch Replacement procedure etc...

It differs per country.
In Europe it's called 9N3, the mark numbers are more UK
