a leak from crank case breather tube

Hi,
I own a 2007 Polo GTI, and recently I changed a pcv and related hoses to solve P0171.
After installation, I did a smoke test for vaccum leaks. And I found a leak from a crankcase breather tube
The crankcase breather hose I bought is not VAG genuine but BBR/COOLXPERT brand.
t seems that the original c clip the part # 037121142A ( steel wire version)does not press down enough the new crankcase breather tube. Do I need a new clip ? Am I missing any? Did I purchase a bad quality Crankcase breatehr hose? Or is it better to use a different design clip?
VAG offers a different design c clip for 1.8t 20v motor, the part # 06b121142A , flat type.
TIA
Jack
