Automatic Tailgate

After searching for an automatic tailgate kit on the internet, I finally found one on Taobao (from China).
Luckily, I was able to transport it to Taiwan.
It's easy to install and works well.
Here are some quick shots:
First, modify the fixed part of the gas spring.
Fixed part on car body

Second, replace the gas spring.

Third, modify the boot lock.

Fourth, wire and install the control unit.

Well done. Thanks for sharing.
I'm thinking of installing this feature on my SKODA Octavia but it's kind of expensive.

Awesome!
It looks great, the 6R has many spaces available to install control units of very diverse nature.
I'm glad to see it's possible, many years ago I studied this mod, but I couldn't find the right parts, I would have had to do too much artisanal work.
A small question, it seems that the car body suffers a bit in the area of the part for the gas spring, or that paint chipping is from the factory or some repair?

btw. actually the paint likes to peel around the vw emblem swtch on rear lid. starting from inside edge

Yes, that's inferior vinyl wrap (matte silver).
I applied it less than a year ago and I plan to apply a new TPU wrap this year.
