Just bought a 2019 polo 1.0 TSI, 47k on the clock. On starting it revs idle at about 1400rpm for up to a minute. Even after a run when the engine is still warm it’s 10-20 seconds at 1400rpm then reduces to 1000rpm.

Other than this drives great

Is this expected? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers

My 2022 1.0 TSI runs cold start about 1400rpm after 20-30 sec drops to 950 rpm
After drive 30-40 min it idles still around 950 rpm

So I guess no problems there
