UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum

The other day this popped up a few times on the infotainment Screen and I didn't opt for either option available and it disappeared. I'm not sure if I've managed to attach the photo successfully but basically it reads 'Changing your vehicle settings' with the options below to 'Cancel' or 'Apply'. I've checked for any new updates but there are none. Has anyone had this happen or know what it's about?

It must have been a OTA update, thankfully I dont have the "online" version.

I don't think it was because all my updates are OTA but having checked there were no new updates and when there are updates available it says 'Update Available'. So I have no idea what it was all about????

I would not worry about this. I've had exactly the same message a few times since I bought my car in Sept 2022. And I just ignore it.

God knows why it does it though!

Mine also at random (maybe every couple of months) switches to "guest" (or what ever its called) profile, rather than my own dedicated profile and I have to switch it back. Again there never appears to be a reason.

I also (at random) get asked to re-login to my profile. I know it does this for security reasons. But... mine on occasion has asked me several days running to do this. Until it finally shuts up.

Just one of many reasons why I don't really put much trust in VW's software.

I’m sure I see that message several times a month and have done since 2018 when I got my first Polo. Now on my 4th and still get the same message. So that’s pre face lift. Post facelift same message! Go figure
