I have had my 2006 1.4 tdi polo 5 door for 2 weeks now and bought it without a handle on the driver's side (right side) to get the rear seat to lower down. It's just a hole in the seat, the passenger side works perfectly fine.

Is there anywhere I can get a handle from or a way to be able to lower my seat down if and when I need to?

try looking for a cable where the latch was and pulling it with pliars
EDIT there is no cable.
Try looking for a hole. on backside of the seat
