Gear noise

Hi my polo 9n3 1.4 75cv from 2008 have a problem, I noticed that when I start in first gear, I hear a very deep noise that is different from usual. Then, when going downhill, if I release the clutch and the gear is engaged, I hear a noise like a motor running and almost whistling. As I shift up through the gears, the noise becomes quieter. What do you think it could be?
