Does the 6C GTI use the same rear axle as a regular 6C?

Hi all

The coil spring mount has snapped off the rear axle of my 2015 6C GTI and it looks like the whole axle needs to be replaced. I've read the that the GTI uses a different axle with a thicker beam, so wondering if this is true or not as I have found two part numbers; 6R0500051B and 6R0500051C, but can't find what the difference between them is or which one I need as my car doesn't have a PR code for the axle.

Does anybody know if I need to buy a specific axle, or is it the same one as on a non-GTI car?

Both are "heavy duty".
0N2 = Heavy-duty rear axle
0N7 = Heavy-duty rear axle (design 2)

6R0 500 051 B = 0N2
6R0 500 051 C = 0N7

Difference probably only in the bushing used and whether the car had disc brakes.
Would just get a axle off a vehicle with rear disc brakes (GTI / Cross Polo). Not sure what others had rear discs. Even the "performance" GT down here (1.0tsi 6C) has drums.

I have Cross Polo with rear discs (1KT) and apparently "heavy duty" rear suspension.

Is there no part number on the axle beam?

To add...how did I get to that conclusion/assumption?

Looking at ETKA for that rear axle, the only combination with 0N7 is when the vehicle has 1KT or 1KV which indicates rear discs. The mounting tabs for the caliper are part of the axle. Don't need those for drums. So to me, 0N2 = for drum setup, 0N7 for the discs. Both are listed heavy duty.
